artful arbor

a client wanted to hold a private luncheon in order to surprise a dear friend of hers. so, she commisioned our team to create a floral setting for the occasion aimed to astound her honoured guest. ever so eager to accomplish the extraordinary, we created a ‘floating’ oasis atop her dining table. we lined five tall and slender silver vessels down the middle of the dining table. we gingerly balanced an island of moist floral foams over the mouths of the graceful vessels. next, we covered the entire surface of the floral foams with gregarious roses in delectable sexy pinks, marias and creams, and fluffy clouds of hydrangeas in envious greens and pinks. as the final touch, we squeezed in tassels of white dendrobiums and tufts of dusty millers amongst the downy canvas of pinks, creams and greens. below this floating canopy, we scattered cutesy posies of like blooms in adorable Venetian vases. judging from the responses we received over the phone a few days later, our element of surprise was beautifully accepted.
